Blade Runner 2049 - Framestore

Here are some of the shots I worked on in Blade Runner 2049 in Framestore Montreal. Got the chance to work with a great team over there .

The Blade Runner worm farms, one of the earlier shots in the movie, This was a matte painting over a flyover plate.

The camera fly's right down until you can only see a few buildings (further than you see here) The challenge to this shot was to maintain the resolution in the DMP, this was done through nested projections.

This particular shot needed to be higher resolution and required further detailing due to the zoom of the binoculars.

Here are some examples of where the large DMP backing of futuristic Las Vegas was used.

This was a tricky shot to make look semi interesting, due to the fact the composition is initially very flat. The middle section is plate everything else is DMP (Painted over a render from lighting)

This is the only shot here where I didn't work on the finished piece, however I did have a hand in concepting the background to help layout and lighting.
